The Atlas of Natural Capital devotes considerable attention to ensuring that the online information it provides is user-friendly, accessible, structured effectively, and easy to find. Everyone should be able to easily find, use and view government sites.

As part of our efforts to facilitate easily accessible online information, Atlas of Natural Capital applies the Web Guidelines. Based on internationally certified guidelines issued by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the Web Guidelines offer a framework to website accessibility, structural quality and sustainability. Since 2011, RIVM has been audited annually by the Netherlands Accessibility Foundation and granted permission to feature that organisation’s ‘no-barrier’ certification on the RIVM website.
